Details:

Electron Backscatter Patterns (EBSP) acquired on NORDIF EBSD systems can be indexed by the EBSP Indexer, a free indexing software which is compatible with Windows 10/11 and MacOS. This user-friendly EBSP Indexer is capable of both Hough- and Dictionary Indexing. Hough indexing (HI) is faster than Dictionary Indexing (DI). However, DI can handle noisy patterns, low resolution patterns and separate phases with the same crystal structure (e.g. two FCC phases). Several types of maps can be presented: Invers Pole Figure map, Phase map, Image Quality map, Orientation Similarity map, Normalized Cross Correlation map, Average Dot Product map etc. The results are present in .ang and .h5-files.
